more bad news...

There is some more bad news, some news that I am really sad to hear. It is really scary, how all the ice and glaciers are going away and will eventually disappear. Today there was another giant sheet of ice that broke off again. This time it was about five times larger than Manhattan, told by scientists. It was about 150 square miles long. It just took about one month for it to completely break off. Scientists saw for a while that this was going to happen. The good news is that it won't raise sea levels because it had already been floating in the water; it just was connected to glaciers on land. This is 150 miles of less land to live and play on. Homes have been swept away and soon we may be over populated because when the ice breaks off, it forces all of us to exist on less land. Our penguin community moves in groups, hunts in groups, and sleeps in groups. The reason for this is so that we are safe and warmer. During a storm we all get together in a circle to keep all of our heat around us, so we can stay warmer. Also, during spring we get together when our young are born. This is a necessary thing to do for our survival.
